Yesterday I went back to the horizontal stabilizer plug and unbagged it and ripped off the peel ply and breather ply. It looks good; nice and straight and smooth. It looks a lot like an oddly-shaped surfboard.
The leading edge scarf sands away nicely. So the stabilizer has validated pretty much all of the techniques that I expect to apply on the wing plugs.
Later this week I'll get to work on the tips.
